competitors continue to EXAGGERATE the
lifting capacity of their lifts for
the sole purpose of gaining an unfair
business advantage. The bottom line
is this: Certain competitors will contract
various Asian manufacturers to copy
many of the popular models that have
been produced by our ISO 9001
factory and are sold with a
CSA approved power
unit. (DP10A,
PP8SPY, PP8PPY, PP9PY, CR14, OR14, CR30,
CR40, FML4, DP12/15) When the
counterfeit lifts are ready for market,
certain competitors inflate the true
rated capacity of these lifts in hopes
of convincing a potential buyer into
believing that the counterfeit lift
will “lift more” . Most
potential customers are not knowledgeable
about above ground lifts, and they rely
on the distributors to provide accurate

Our
hoist is ALI approved (DP10A,
PP8SPY, PP8PPY, PP9PY, CR14, OR14, CR30,
CR40, FML4, DP12/15) which means
that it has been 3rd party tested. Before
we were given the ALI approval there
had to be changes in some of the ways
it was manufactured. This was all to
do with SAFTEY. The columns or posts
are cold rolled formed. There are no
welds to make the post. There was an
internal lock ladder installed. This
allows us now to use 2 locks, one being
for the platform and the other which
is spring loaded for a slack cable incase
the cable were to break that lock engages
right away. On the cross beam the lock
ladder is held into place with the 10
inch polyethylene sliders this keeps
the locks at the same distance during
the entire lifting procedure. The adjustable
ladder lock also helps in leveling the
lift thus doing away with shims under
the post. We used 4 bolts on the lifting
cap. There is a flow restrict or valve
on the cylinder in case one of the 2
hoses were cut or burst .On the cross
beam pulleys there is a bolt that keeps
the cable on the pulley in case there
is slack in the cable. The power units
are 110 volt 14 amp draw. There are
lock covers and we use swivel joints
for the lock release .Not all lifts
are the same. It takes a combination
of the right design, engineering excellence
and quality manufacturing to earn this
certification.
